Paintings - New Work

My most recent work is the result of a week spent in West Cornwall in September 2017.  It was a time of great sadness for me and I think the work reflects that emotion.  These six paintings were created following a walk at Sennen Cove and a session of free drawing, exploring paint and its fluid movement.  The paintings are a combination of remembered objects, sensations and colours and marks made during the drawing session.  The paint has been allowed to move in a fluid way with less manipulation of brushes than my normal way of working and is more experimental.
